About the Job:
Want to lead SEO initiatives and product lead implementation for a public traded Fortune 500 company? We are seeking an SEO strategist to join our SEO (search engine optimization) team, who can leverage their knowledge and skills in SEO to drive success in organic search. This includes owning SEO initiatives, identifying SEO opportunities, and potential risks that could limit organic search performance. The SEO team at Homes.com sits within the product org. and will work directly with the product and engineering team. This role will be responsible for staying up to date on SEO industry trends and emerging opportunities in the evolving SEO landscape.
Responsibilities:
• Write product stories, join grooming sessions, and provide guidance throughout implementation
• Prioritize SEO initiatives and execute on an SEO roadmap
• Analyze ranking and crawl data to identify SEO opportunities, risks and ongoing site improvements
• Work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including, product, design, engineering, marketing, and content partners
• Perform regular site crawls to identify errors, and site progress
• SEO performance reporting and monitoring
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred
• 3+ years of experience in SEO (preferred in-house experience)
• Experience working with product teams and writing product stories
• Strong technical SEO experience, including knowledge in scalable internal linking optimization, crawl budget, index/noindex page best practices, and schema markup
• Experience working with large websites over 100K pages
• Experience in SEO tools such as: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Screamingfrog, Botify, etc.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze large datasets
• Self motivated and an action oriented
